Paciugo Gelato

If you have ever tasted gelato then you know, other frozen dairy deserts don’t hold a candle to this delicious Italian treat. When we stopped by Paciugo Gelato we were blown away at some of the unique flavors and the cool mediterranean atmosphere.

Paciugo (an Italian word meaning ‘messy concoction’) was started by Cristiana Ginatta. Her passion for gelato began at a young age after tasting her grandfather’s handmade version. After learning the technique in culinary school she perfected her skills at a gelateria in Turin Italy.

In 1997 her and her family moved to Dallas Texas and upon realizing the absence of anything resembling gelato, she realized she needed to share the amazing flavors of Italy. Their small family business has expanded to 38 locations nationwide and growing.

Paciugo gelato and sorbet are handcrafted daily with natural and fresh ingredients and since they serve 32-40 flavors daily, choosing what to get proved to be a very difficult decision! Some are traditional Italian recipes, while others are inspired by other cultures and cuisines but all are amazingly delicious!
