MAGIC Trade show

If you’ve never heard of MAGIC, it’s a bi-annual fashion trade show held at the Las Vegas and Mandalay Bay Convention Center’s, showcasing designer clothing, accessory and footwear collections for men, women and children. It’s a fashion hub bringing together brands, buyers, and media from all over the world.

This year we were asked to be on MAGIC’s official Digital Influencer team and we were thrilled! It was a great opportunity to be part of such a big event in the fashion industry and really get an inside look at what happens behind the scenes. In order for things to arrive in your local stores and boutique’s, there needs to be a little MAGIC.

There was so much ground to cover. We had to get acquainted with the show, where things were, the schedule of activities, fashion shows, mixers and other events that were being planned for the week. Part of our job as digital influencers was to report on the happenings so it was important for us to be in the know.

The sheer size of the show is amazing. Every booth is numbered and there are sections and categories which make it easier to locate brands. There is a MAGIC Tradeshow app that is a big help when navigating.

Being the shoe addicts we are, we were immediately drawn to Platform, the shoe division of the trade show. One of the first booths we hit up was the Brazilian brand Schutz. With not a single pair we wouldn’t wear, they blew us away.

We also stopped by a personal favorite, Pour la Victiore and upon wiping the drool off our mouths we inspected what they’re bringing us this year.

We saw some serious color at Aryn K. The textures and prints were fantastic!

We stopped by IMoshion’s booth and saw some fun bags that we were loving.

In addition to seeing some amazing brands, we also participated some panel discussions. The  first topic was fast fashion trends vs. classics where we talked about what to spend little on and what to splurge on.

The other one was a discovery panel where we discussed some of our favorite finds from the trade show floor.

One of our favorite things was stopping by the DIY Salon to make some jewelry with Kristen from Glitter ‘N Glue.
