On a balmy L.A. evening, escorted by Uber, (the cool new app that allows you to call for a ride wherever you are, without dialing the phone) we attended a cocktail party at the Kelly Wearstler flagship boutique on Melrose Ave. The night was Fashion’s Night Out and the event was filled with cocktails, art, fashion and fun.
If you are familiar with Kelly Wearstler’s designs, then you know her eclectic style infuses art with fashion that is as sophisticated, as it is edgy. Her store is a reflection of that style as well. Full of pieces from her clothing, jewelry and home accessories collections, it has the feel of being at an old friend’s well decorated, artsy loft. Kelly began her career as an interior designer and has designed such hotels as the Avalon and Viceroy among others.
If you’re in the neighborhood stop by her boutique or check out her website. In the meantime, here are some party pics from our whimsical evening.
